Day 11 in Scotland, April 4.

We celebrated Easter on Sunday. He is Risen!

Stephanie and Melanie went to the concert hall to see our friends Sara and Nina dance. They both did very well. Here are a few pictures of each of them. Great job girls!

After watching Sara and Nina dance, our family headed off to Stirling to see the castle there.

This is the view of the William Wallace Monument seen from the Stirling Castle.

We ate lunch at Hermann's Restaurant. We tried Cullen Skink for the first time--a creamy fish soup. It was delicious.

Below: the view from Hermann's Restaurant.

A few shots of the girls at the entrance to a graveyard across the street from Hermann's.
A few more shots of Stirling Castle:
I don't know who put them in the dungeon!
We saw a tapestry being made. There were four completed ones  hanging on a wall in the great hall. They were very impressive.
After lunch and visiting the castle, we walked back through Stirling and took a taxi to the William Wallace monument. Unfortunately they stop selling tickets at 4:00, and we got there at 4:05. We hiked up the hill to see the monument but were unable to get in to see William Wallace's claymore.
