Day 8 in Scotland, April 1.

On Thursday, we slept in and then took the train to Edinburgh.
Waling up to the Royal Mile from the train station:
Below, Brian poses in front of a statue of the Father of Economics, Adam Smith. Brian was especially excited to see this statue because of his recent interest in economics.
We ate lunch at the Witchery by the Castle. It was definitely the nicest restaurant of the trip and probably the girls' whole lives. They have never been so quiet during a meal!
Our appetizer was "Duck Egg Florentine" YUMM!

Lamb sausage with corn fritters:
Fish pie:
Stephanie in front of Edinburgh Castle:

Edinburgh Castle:

Madison loved the red phone booths.

Taylor loved tormenting Madison! :)
Shopping along the Royal Mile.

We went to one of the Starbucks on the Royal Mile.
Here's the view from the window of Starbucks. Some view, huh?

We highly recommend the book Scotland for Dummies!
Dinner at Deacon Brodie's Tavern:
On our way back to our apartment in Glasgow from Edinburgh.

We rode home on a train first class!
