Feis time!

Hello everyone, 

Sorry us girls haven't been able to blog. We've been to a couple friends' houses and haven't had any time. This post will be about the feis (Irish dance competition: it's pronounced "fesh") I (Stephanie) went to with our friends from dance, the Senecals. The trip was  a blast! Thank you so much Senecals! I'll never forget this one-of-a-kind feis.

 Our crazy adventure started with running across streets to get to the mall. While we were in the mall we met General Lafayette (something for colonial Philadelphia) and tried on two $300 pairs of high heels. We didn't realize they cost $300 dollars until AFTER we had tried them on! =) After driving in a few circles we got back to our hotel room and took a "nap". Here are some pics...

After our little nap we went downstairs and met....

THE MUMMERS! We had no idea who they were until the head guy (who we got our pic with) told us about them. They're pretty much a marching band with wooden instruments and crazy costumes!

The next day was the feis. It was crazy and really crowded. We didn't do great, but we had  a lot of fun. Laurissa got a 3rd in her slip-jig and Emma got a 3rd in her reel. I got 12th in my prelim comp out of 29 competitors, which isn't bad but not awesome. I got a pretty big trophy for it though!

After the feis we headed home. On the ride Emma creamed us all in the "mine" game, and we went through a toll and forgot to put the EZ pass on! Then, we got pulled over by a cop for speeding investigation!!! Thankfully we weren't going fast enough to be reckless driving so we didn't get a ticket! That was fun. =D The later it got, the sillier and crazier we got. We definitely made a memory! Thanks again Senecals!
